Hey
I'm Boris and this is my digital home, hope you enjoy your stay!
About me
I was born in Bulgaria, where I grew up. Growing up there had a huge impact on my life, as I still cherish a lot of the moments and lessons I learned there. If you're a lover of nature, friendly people, and amazing culture, think about visiting and I guarantee you'll love it.
As someone who is relatively new to the software engineer world, I am in awe at what can be done using software. Being able to write programs gives me incredile freedom and possibilities to express myself.
I have a few big passions, including cars, video games, and music. I'm always looking for, discovering, and listening to new music, while also always reading up on latest technology and achievements in the car industry.
UIC & SapientNitro
I graduated from UIC with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Our curriculum was heavily based on low
level programming with a focus on software development.
Right after graduating, I got my first job in the field at SapientNitro as a junior technologist. This was my
first time delving into web development, as a backend developer using Adobe Experience Manager.
Frontend
My next year at SapientNitro was a whole new experience for me. Working with a different client, this was the
first time I focused on the frontend, and began to build my frontend skills like HTML5, CSS, and Javascript.
I started from complete zero and by August of that year I was one of two frontend Adobe Experience Manager
developers for our client. Along this journey, I picked up skills like Bootstrap, jQuery, Node, Express,
templating engines, and other minor frontend related skills.
Backend & DevOps
With the new year, came a new client for me. I went back to being a backend Adobe Experience Manager, however
this year I delved even deeper into AEM. I also heavily focused on dev ops work for our team, as I was the
person in charge with setting up our environments, build pipelines, Jenkins, and deployment with Docker.
With the dev ops work, I was once again thrown into a completely new topic, which is becoming a pattern.
Using the deployment solution I created, we were able to cut costs associated with running daily builds.
